Times of Transmutation

None of us are untouched by the distortions of dominant culture that have torn through our bodies & souls throughout millenia.

While we have all been wounded, we must conjure the courage of heart to hold ourselves & each other as witnesses, for not only how we have been harmed, but where that confusion may have turned against ourselves & the “other.” It all begins and ends with presence. We are conditioned to avoid being present to these wounds—which, yes, must be handled with deep care, support, & titrated awareness.

I see power abuse as an insatiable pit haunted by its own disconnection from Source; a decrepit mansion filled with generations of spirits whose terrorized bodies have been shamed and into subservience, silence, complicity and desperate attempts to survive—even if it means grasping false power.

When we make the unconscious conscious, it is always a reckoning, an awakening to the pain and illusory ghosts of our own histories hiding in the shadows. It’s no wonder it has taken us thousands of years & repetitive cycles of trauma to arrive where we are now. The horrors of war, genocide, manufactured poverty, displacement, sexual abuse, shame, & other impacts of the colonial-imperialist experiment live in our cells, tissues, organ systems, energetic systems, emotions, & thoughts. We have internalized the lie.

These “lost” energies, disconnected from Love, attach themselves inside wounds that were never tended to. We are processing all the insidious expressions of the lineage of domination. It’s so much to hold.

My prayers and work feel never ending…for the release of this distortion that says we find safety & freedom from destroying sentient beings, disregarding the spirits of the land or ignoring the cries of ancestors who know better.

I believe we can walk ourselves & each other through the portals of transformation that offer no guaranteed other side, except the soft body birthing of new life—while hearts crack and crumble simultaneously, through the unbearable weight of loss upon loss. I believe we can be set free, through rigorous transmutation, reborn into a devotion to Love, and the Great Mystery that holds us all.
